Thankfully, my laptop has been restored to a better condition than it has been in for a long time. Kind of nice to get all the junk off of it and have it run better and faster. Still have an issue with the windows installer - whenever I open a program like Word or my email, it starts the installer too. So I'm not sure how to get rid of that (if anyone knows, let me know).

Been a difficult week here due to the financial stress. I love having my oldest son here, but I just cannot support him and he hasn't found a job yet. Food-wise - we are really suffering and it's gotten to the point where my teenager, who is 6 foot and only 110lbs, is hungry all the time and I have nothing to feed him. I've given my oldest a week to get a job or move out and it was the hardest thing I had to do. I hated it. I feel like such a terrible mom. Really not what I wanted for Mother' s Day. The stress of it all has had me crying every night for hours before bed. /sigh (ok enough whining as I know there are some people who will backlash at me for whining about my problems).

I finally completed another piece, Linger, for the 100 Theme challenge. I still have one more piece, Playing the Melody, to catch up to Sissy. It is so hard to work on my art now that my disc has blown in my back. I can sit at my computer for about 20-30 minutes at a time before I'm hurting, so I have to work in little bursts instead of long artistic stretches. It does get frustrating cuz I want to keep going!



Was quite bummed about not even placing in the top ten in the Voice of Spring contest. It was my best piece yet and wasn't even in the running. I think I've given up on contests for awhile.

I have not heard anything from the 100D club for the past several weeks! Does anyone know what's happened? Have we stopped featuring new deviants? So I apologize if there haven't been any updates in that area for awhile. I've sent messages but haven't gotten any response.

Well - not much else as far as news on a personal note! Was going to try to make it to the pow wow this year again to sell my jewelry and maybe some art pieces, but the booth fee this year is $200!!!!! That and the cost of gas to get to CA - even though I have a great car that gets awesome gas mileage - just can't afford to go this year.

I really need to revamp my website but need some new artwork for it that involves dreams and dragonflies. Will have to check the DA resources.
